10 THINGS TO HAVE A PERFECT WINTER

Winter is definitely not my friend. There, I come clean. Since, I'm on break, but not going anywhere warm in a close period of time, I'll just have to deal with the low temperatures. I'm a lover of the sunlight and since, it's playing peek-a-boo for almost two weeks, I guess I'll have to deal with it. It might be because I've been growing up in the Northern hemisphere, but I envy those LA people living in a place where it's sunny all year around. Here, it's either way raining, windy, or worst, snowing - friends, I love the snow, but I hate seeing my knuckles freezing. I quite understand why some people love the rain since they're not used to it, but they can definitely have some if that's their desire. It's in my personality to complain about something like the weather, and you can't blame me for that. So, for now, since I live here, I was wondering what to do about it? I decided to do a list for myself of things to do in winter.

1. Decorating your space. Being in the mood for winter is quite difficult when you're not feeling to, so I've came across the idea that burning scented candles might be one of the best thing in winter. I got mine from Zara Home or OtherStories.

2. Drink a lot of tea. Staying hydrated is something I've learnt the hard way - but this story is for another day- so drinking tea, and especially mint green tea is one of my fav activity. It speaks for itself: there's nothing more comforting than a big mug of something hot that will warm up your hands.

3. Cuddle up and Netflix. Winter is definitely the season where you'll never feel guilty for staying home, watching your favorite series and movies while cuddling up in a big fluffy blanket. Blessing the day where a guy's invented Netflix. Currently obsessed with Chicago PD and SVU. Olivia Benson is one hell of a character.

4. Closet clean-out. Okay, so, I hate doing this at another moment. I came across this WWW method for cleaning out your closet, and either way, it's a good reason to justify buying some new stuff.

5. Practice my Yoga skills. Working out changed my life, but for some reason I was pretty perplexed about Yoga. Freezing temperatures is the good excuse to get back on the mat. I will master my downward dog posture.

6. Plotting my next adventure. Being released of my school duties in a few months, I'm dreaming about escaping somewhere warm, nice, sandy and unknown. Jessica's blog is the perfect destination to choose a getaway destination. Thinking about Croatia and sailing the Dalmatian coast, what are your thoughts about this place?

7. Grab a cup of coffee and read the news. I adore those moments where I can relax, grab the newspaper and read about what's going on in the world the old way. Seems like the world is going out of control, but hoping for better time..

8. Pajama day all day. Guilty pleasure of winter. Staying in my pajama all day, and being cosy is one thing I can totally master. Who cares if you're in your pajama all day? It's con productive, but no one will see you.

9. Catching up on some reading. I love reading some books I've put on "pause", because I didn't have some time to catch up on my reading. For the moment, I'm reading Anna Karenina, and also, I'm contemplating the moment where I'll finally open my mailbox to find 'YES' by Amy Poehler.

10. Go to the gym / Modelfit. It's not bikini season, yet. It's definitely the right time to break some sweat and respect some of those NY resolutions you've made two weeks ago. Enjoying those Model Fit videos on youtube - it's been so easy to be back on my fitness routine since I can do it from home. They say it's easy, and beneficial for your mind and body. I'm starting to believe in it.

Coffee and Music

FriYAY.
This mix of words (including Friday and Yay) is totally appropriate, since as you may know, I've been studying a lot for my finals, and not it's finally over. Library life is surely the worst kind of life for anyone. Sometimes, it's so hard to keep up with the rhythm law school will weight on your shoulders.
As I'm on break now, I will keep up with my resolution to post more and more on this freedom of speech space. I had so much to do this past week, that I didn't even have time to pick up with some articles I've been scheduling.
Friday means also weekend, and for it's all about good coffee and music. I though I will share with you some coffee places I've been to the past few months, including one overseas.
Plus, what about sharing more music you need to listen to? I've been noticing that I have to listen to music to work (or work out) and do be productive.

Craft Cafe - It's been the place I've been popping to when I want to meet with some friends. The perfect thing is that you can work there, since there's a coworking place dedicating to it. Thing is, it depends what you're working on.

Telescope Café - Pretty sure all Parisians have heard about this place. Plus, you have to try the banana bread. I've never been a lover of that patisserie, but this one is definitely one of the best.

Kitsuné Café - For sure, it's one of the smallest coffee place I've been to. The coffee is really enjoyable, but the positive point is that it's closed to one of my favorite in Paris: les Jardins du Palais Royal. You definitely have to test the Matcha Tea Latte, heavenly good.

Coutume Instituutti - In the heart of Paris, it's hidden in the Finnish Institute next to Saint-Michel metro station. Make you sure you pop there when you have some time ahead and you just want to relax and have some good coffee. The people there are so nice, it feels like you're not in Paris anymore.

Fondation Café - One of the loveliest place you'll find in the heart of Paris. It's in the Marais, but it really worth it. The cakes and the scones there are so good, you'll definitely want to grab some.

The Barn - It's in Berlin, and it's pretty hard to find it since it's hidden. On this day I've been wandering through the neighborhood, and to be honest, I don't have any clue how I've stumbled upon it. That had been such a nice discovery, and I just want to say, you really have to pop there anytime you're in Berlin. I loved this city, and if you want me to tell you more about it, let me know.

Hope you like my picks x

Sea Shore Woo

There are so much of us. Streetstyle bloggers are one of the many thing I clame to be (such a hardworker I am), but one of the thing we really adore here is photography. Among your friends there's always this girl taking everything she stumbled upon in pictures while traveling right? I am this girl. I grew up with the idea that beauty is among us and it's definitely okay to take a shot of it. Some people might don't understand what is the point of taking a picture, but unfortunately for them, I do. Fashion photography is something peculiar and while, there are magazine editorials, I have a tendency to search for something different than the average editorials claiming they are inventing something bold, ecstatic, never seen before. I've been hook up with this subject while stumbling upon two peculiar blog - Zanita, which is the famous eponymous website of Zanita Whittington and ShineByThree, glorious and magistral journal of incredible and refreshing Margaret Zhang.

Don't fool yourself believing I will quit the main purpose of this website - streetstyle blogging is one of the thing I adore, and I'd love to continue this part as long as I have the chance to - and I hope it will bring some cool stuff for the year coming.

I won't blabering trying to introduce what I'm saying - I'm opening another category on this website and I hope you'll accompany me along this road - JOURNAL. It will definitely be more about the exclusive editorials I'm stumbling upon through the jungle that is our beloved modern tool (internet), and for starter, I wanted to share one of those that have caught my eyes yesterday.

This exclusive Edito shot by Madelyn Wray somewhere in Australia along the sea shore was brought to my eyes by Amanda Shadforth (OracleFox). Suzy Woo, Australian babe, is the main piece of this incredible and fantastic aesthetic shoot. There is something pretty amazing to this backdrop, and it might be my seaside lover part talking, but there's definitely something magical lying upon mother nature backdrop. Secret locations (or not) I have the envy to discover the place where this was taken. Moreover, let's just say that Bec and Bridge swimsuit collections is beyond real.

Suzy Woo know how to work magic, sand, sunlight and wet hair. Now, I have the urge to be some place sandy, sunny and warm.

Music You Need to Listen To

Just some songs I'm constantly listening to right now while working. I have the habit to listen to moody tracks when I'm studying or editing. Spotify have been such an amazing discovery for me - I love discovering new tracks I've never heard before when I'm picking some playlist they already put together. Some of those are quite entertaining (they definitely make you dance) and some are just the ones going on repeat. Music is all about instinct and especially finding gems beyond the overcrowded pieces of music.

This is an old photo, but I'm currently studying for finals. I'll be back in the game soon enough.
