December Resolutions

It’s the end of the year, which means it’s time for some us to start make some resolutions. I’ve never used to make some resolutions before the new year starts. Indeed, I believe that if you want to make a change in your life, you don’t have to do it because it’s January 1st. Thing is, if you want to do something, go for it. There’s nothing stopping you – but, that’s the way I’m living by. I still have to make some improvements tho. We all have something we want to work on. So I’m going to a make a few changes for this new year…

•  Make a list of things I want to do. And stick to it. Is this a thing, or am I not the only one starting to make lists of what I want to do? Happiness is in the little things, so writing down what you want to accomplish every day is a start, and if it makes you smile, it might be a really good thing. Those instax you’re seeing above are kind of a reminder of what I’ve been able to achieve. So, doing little things everyday is a way of accomplishing what you want to do steps by steps. I’m going to start this right now, and see what’s coming then.

• Start to make some changes, and don’t wait on for ages. I’ve been thinking about this one, and I get on board of this pretty amazing mantra for about a year now, and I’m starting to think, it did some good in my everyday life. Time to take some decisions, and for that, don’t you have to believe in it?

• Getting a new camera. I’m pretty pleased with my DSLR, but I want to improve my contents and if it takes to get a new camera, I will get one. Well, that means finding a plan B to keep on this journey - photographer. Plus, I really want to stick to this idea of capturing every moment to, in the future, remember it.

• Stick to a better way of life. Eating healthy, stick to a work out routine – that are some of those things I might get on board. Eating healthy change your life, and indeed it takes some will to keep on, but what if it worth it? Guess, junk food is hard to give up on.

• Don’t give up on projects you want to pursue. I used to think everything in life will come easily, but that’s not true. You have to fight for it if you really want it. So, as I’m not a teen anymore, I have some projects I really want to achieve and I will do everything to make them coming true. ‘Dreams are coming true’ might be another idea I might live by, starting now. It’s always rewarding to see something you have in mind becoming true. As for an example, I’ve dreamt to go to New York during FW for ages, and even tho I didn’t have the typical journey (if there’s one) of a blogger, I went to NY, and that was the best trip I’ve ever did.

It’s been a couple of very relaxed, peaceful days. It’s been almost a week that I’ve been home, and not rushing around ever way to college or to the library is pretty what I needed. First of all, let me start by wishing you a very joyful Merry Christmas! I hope you had a fabulous time with your loved one and you got everything you wish for on Thursday. I had to say that what I wanted most was to dive into my white cosy blankets and never leave my place, while the wind was blowing outside.

As it’s the holidays, and almost the end of the year, all I want to do is bringing some new contents and to diversify what I’m bringing to you every now and then. I guess I’m pretty perfectionist when it comes to something I really care about. I want it to be perfect in a way I appreciate and my motivation is to make you appreciate it also.

Like every year, the 31^st December means looking back at the past year, and what each one of us has been through. It also means taking some resolutions, but let’s discuss this later.

Meanwhile, I’m here with a couple of new images we shot on Christmas day, and for once, Paris was sunny. It’s been so rare these days, and I’m craving for a place where the sun shines bright. On this day, I put on my favourite blue skinny jeans, and my biggest, warmest and cosiest knit I got at Mango. I’ve been on the haunt for such a big knit, and I’m pretty glad I got this one. It is becoming handy when the temperatures are closed to zero (which means snow!!). I clearly can’t wait for a white winter, since we didn’t have a white Christmas.

One of my favorite period of the year to play around with Fashion and layers is fall / winter. It’s definitely the moment of the year where you can pull out your best trick and show how you can handle the freezing cold and stay stylish. There are so many options when it comes to coats. Indeed, it’s less about the outfit you’re wearing underneath (at least, if you want to freeze like an ice cube, you’re my guest), but about the outerwear. Coats are always the highlight of the season, except for high-knee boots.

Since I know I have a tendency to freeze as I step a foot outside, I tend to gravitate around wool coats with a high neck if possible. 

However, you might not want to look like you’re all bundled in layers, so the cut of your coat is extremely important. It’s definitely a plus to slim down your silhouette and lengthen it – especially if you’re not 6 foots tall. This ZaraStudio coat is perfect.

The golden details such as the zipper and the buttons gave to this coat another dimension, and it makes it chic and, at the same time, wearable at any period of the year. Sure, it’s a coat for winter whites, but even tho, it doesn’t snow in Paris yet, I feel the urge to wear it every time I step out of the house. Something tells me I’m going to wear it more than my navy one.

The idea of a white coat might sound ridiculous, but I’ve had a red one and a charcoal one before, and it’s definitely my favorite color.

It’s actually the perfect outerwear to throw on; ever way you’re going for a stroll or to a cocktail, since the cut of this coat makes every outfit classier and chicer.

It’s the perfect versatile piece that can allow you to transition from day to night, or to work outfit to a fun one. It’s definitely a cool statement piece and I think I might wear it more often than I expected. It just felt right to throw it on.

It’s very French to complain about the weather, and about everything, actually. It’s almost like the sun disappeared from the sky two weeks ago, and the city turned out to be grey. Sometimes, you’ll get some sun, but that’s a miracle if you’re out at the exact moment, and have a photographer to take some shots. Since I didn’t, that’s the reason why you didn’t see a lot of me, or my outfits in my recent posts. Sorry for the radio silence.

Today’s outfit is simple and casual. Monday called for coffee, so we went for a walk and stopped by one of my favorite spot in Paris: Craft Café, in the 10 arrondissement. Next to the Canal St-Martin, those streets are the cutest one, and you’ll definitely feel the urge to lost yourself and wander through this hood.
Here are a couple of classics pieces you definitely need asap in your closet. A striped cotton shirt with a twist (such as these buttons on each side) and a pair of ripped black jeans. It's a classic pair of jeans, and I'm really glad I get my hand on these one. As I said it, it’s casual, but wearing a pair of ankle boots is elevating the all thing. Sometimes it’s more about a casual outfit you’ll elevate, and sometimes about a glamour one you’ll turn into a sporty one.

One last Wishlist : For Her

So Christmas is in less than a week, and if you didn't have also the time or, maybe you don't want to rush through the December crowded shop phenomenon, you might want to check this pretty wish list I thought I'd make to make your life easier.

In a way, I'm pretty grateful, christmas didn't find his way in my home, because I couldn't find it comforting getting gifts if I have to chase the time all day long to find the perfect gifts for your loved one. The way I see it is that, beyond the family fabulous characteristic of this time of the year as Holidays are, the dilemma between giving and receiving is not quite balanced. Anyway, so you know, I love family time.

Depending on what you have in mind, every woman, as you may know now (and I'm talking to my male readers), are, from one to another, different. Depending on the gift, one might light and the other might dislike it. That's the beauty of giving and being surprised. I might not be the only one which adore surprises. Besides, Paris is being very cheerful - every corner is decorated with some pretty crazy and amazing lights that just give you the urge movement to enter a pretty boutique and shop for some pretty beautiful and original things. I'm talking about fashion pieces - this Gucci Bamboo Backpack bag might be the most winter coveted thing in my imaginary wish list I'm completing every other day.

Some of the gifts I've listed are one of the most coveted and prettiest thing you'll ever think about to get for the women of your family - they are both beautiful, interesting for some, or sometimes they're just some special things you might want to get for a woman, some she'll never think about to get for herself. This amazing Polaroid printer for your phone is such a good idea - not to mentioned everything related to Fashion such as this Chanel set of books or this ama-zing backpack from Opening Ceremony which I saw in Manhattan.

Maybe, you want to get her a piece of jewelry, which might be pretty easy, because everything refined, craftsman made, substantially showing that it's unique will perfectly work - trust the blogger on this.
