How to: 7 tips to be more productive

One of my resolutions for 2015 was being more organized about blogging. One thing I’ve learned this past few years if that if you’re committing to do something, you gotta to do it right and actually, to the end. Quitting or giving up is not even a perspective option. Being organized is clearly the most important thing I have to work on, since I’m pretty much the less organized person when it comes to anything personal. Sure, I’m working on this “flaw” especially when it concerns my student life, but efforts are needed and required. I’ve been trying to keep my closet tidy tho, and another thing I’m trying to work on is my personal productivity. Isn’t that word scary? I guess, starting to take things seriously is a step, and being more productive is about taking one more steps at a time. Baby steps it will be, and I’m pretty sure I will realize it will worth it soon enough.

I’ve decided to keep a blogging calendar, which will definitely help me, and I though that in order to process in the right way, I have to follow some guideline principles. Wednesday is going to be a tips day, and I hope you’ll enjoy this kind of article.

Today’s article concerns some principles I’ve stumbled upon regarding productivity – so fellow bloggers and readers, I hope this post will help you.

  1. Stop planning and start taking actions. I love reading fellow bloggers posts and that’s how this whole idea of starting my own project germs in my mind, but I’ve realized what I was quite a major planner and when it’s about taking actions, it’s an understatement when I say I push things back. Well, yea I’m always busy since I’m writing my little thesis, but that doesn’t stop me from taking some blogging time. “Just Do It” is actually an interesting quote. It works and you know it will since, the more you’re pushing back things, and the more you’re fearing. If you don’t take time to build the thing you want, it will never happen and you will stand still. Principal task of a blogger is producing content, so it should be the main priority. Be a producer of content, not a consumer of content (that’s actually something I’ve stumbled upon, and I’m totally getting it). Producing content is the way to attract your audience, so first thing first is to plan your future content.
  2.  Don’t get distracted. Well, that’s something I really have to work on. I might be the one girl who’s the most distracted when I should concentrate on something that requires my whole focus and attention. I’m a lover of new things, and I’m pretty curious, so my brain is easily switching to one thing to another. I have the tendency to check out more that my mails, even tho that’s the main thing I had to do when I got my hands on my phone. Common place for all of us. For now, I have to shut out all the distractions and start focusing on the main task I put myself onto.
  3. Focus on the more important tasks. As said before, the most important thing for a blogger is to create content; so that should be the most prioritize one right? Furthermore, creating content has to be useful – which means, it has to have a certain impact. Blogging is all about interesting your audience, because you definitely want to build a strong and dedicated audience. To achieve such goal, I’ve read so many guidelines that I’m pretty bored with all the advices, but one that will work is this one: kill all the time wasters. For now on, I will definitely prepare a 3-5 tasks list of things I have to do which is related to building my audience. Don’t stop until those tasks have been completed.
  4. Find what works for you. Some people prefer to write in the morning, some in the middle of the night. I don’t have a preference, but what I do love is working while listening to music. It helps me to concentrate on my task, and I have the tendency to listen to some specific songs that I know I won’t get bored with. Spotify had really change my way of listening to music; so now I have some playlist dedicated to writings posts etcs. Some people rather write in silence, so it’s up to you. The silence can be golden, you might focus more on your task that way. Pick what works for you. Well, whatever works right?
  5. Keep up with a healthy lifestyle. That will change everything – eat healthy, sleep more, workout whenever you feel to. Leading a healthy lifestyle will definitely fill you with more energy, and even tho I’m a big partisan of coffee, it’s not the only thing which works. It will improve your productivity and you will win some time. Plus, make sure to take some breaks, and rest your mind.
  6. Passion is the motor. It’s so true. If your blog topic is something you’re really passionate about, you will definitely want to push yourself forward and get out of your comfort zone. Indeed, you will not be able to fall asleep if you didn’t get to create the content you wanted to. I have experienced this, and it’s so true – sometime, I have to create this specific content to be able to sleep. Now, you might think I’m cray. Plus, inspiration when it comes to produce content is clearly important. I love creating boards on Pinterest, reading and flipping through some editorials. That’s where I found my inspiration, even tho my style is pretty minimal and monochromatic. The world is full of inspiration, get inspired.
  7. Stop fearing. It’s actually one I’m always working on, but who doesn’t? There are so many things you can fear – what your readers, closed one or fellow bloggers would think about your articles or your vision. Or about being ridiculed, not being perfect, not having enough guts, readers, talent or reputation. Start silencing theses fears by putting them away. Thing is being a blogger, and a fashion blogger is about being inventive, trying new things and getting out of your comfort zone. We shall all embrace our not perfect personality, because let’s just face it – no one is perfect, even tho you’re think to by watching their Instagram feeds. Inspiration is the key, and you can get inspired by reading some fellow bloggers articles. Don’t get paralyzed by their writing skills, we all can definitely do it. If you put your mind onto something, nothing should stop you to get there. If you want to get better, best way is to practice and improve your work through the feedbacks.
I’ve just realized I’ve rambled a lot, but I hope it has inspired you to be more productive about whatever you put your mind onto. So kiddos, I hope you like this kinda post x

How to: 7 tips to be STYLISH

So kiddos, I've been MIA for a few days and the reason behind this quite silent disparition is that I'm taking things a little bit further and I'm trying to migrate to another platform (wordpress), because I really want to work as hard as I can to give you the best content. Since it's taking some time, and because I'm editing a lot of things that I will post this week, I though I'll talk about some tips I've stumbled upon claiming how to be stylish.
I don't pretend to know everything about how to be stylish or how to dress, but there's some principles I've kept in mind when I'm upfront with my closet in the morning, or when I need to be somewhere specific. Im definitely a kinda overthinking girl, so don't mind the rolling eyes.

When it comes to be stylish, you might think it's all about having nice designer clothes, but sometimes it's simpler than that. Some tips have been shared, so why not sharing with all of you? Wanna know about this stylish general guidelines that are substantially so wise? Keep scrolling, and let me know what your might think about that.

1. Clothing is a way of communication. I've always believed that self-expression can be demonstrate several ways, and one of them is how you dress. Indeed, you are always communicating something - body language is something really important, and it's like smiling. Stylists have though about this one a lot, and one thing on which I agree is that how you dress translate how you want to be perceived by others. Either you intend to, or not, it's always saying something about you.

2. Investing in a great pair of jeans. Jeans are so much more that a simple piece of clothes. Wearing your favorite piece of denim can completely switch you day to a great one. Indeed, the fit being primordial - you don't want to splurge on some jeans you won't wear much more than twice. Anyway,  I've haunted for a really good pair, and I found one a Lee Jeans, but I might be on the haunt for another one.

3. Most important thing; the fit. Keeping on with this idea, I've made my mind around this one this past year, and this is actually so true. If the fit doesn't fit, don't bother to splurge on it because it's on trend. The trendiest piece of clothes won't make you stylish at all. It will make you trendy right, but it won't flatter your silhouette, and well, I think it's more important. Stylist Stacy London said something very wise "You have to do that in order to figure out what looks good on you. And besides, confidence is the best accessory. It can make or break an outfit."

4. Times to play with trends. What's cool with Fashion is that it's all about having fun. So, since the trends go to one place to another in just few months, trends are always switching to another supposedly stylish thing "you have to get your hands on". Truth is, sometimes being trendy doesn't work in a special situation. Like, for former special occasion (aka wedding of your sister), embracing a faux fur blue coat might not be the best trick you could pull out.

5. Tiny things will change your look. It's true what they say: sport accessories or pulling tiny tricks can totally change how you look. When I'm saying that I'm not thinking only about sporting jewelry like fine and simple rings, but also like tucking your shirt in your jeans. Latter one is one of those I've sported, and it's something I'm not tired of, because it's a personal expression of showing people I can play with fashion and interested them to try new things.

6. Less is more. That's actually what I'm calling my style signature. Everyone should have a style signature that will show people that you're different from anyone else. Actually, that's exactly the concept Queen of JetLags is expressing in this article - what's your brand or UPS (unique selling point)? I'm aspiring to stand out in the blogosphere world, and I think determining what's your UPS and your style is quite important. It applies in your day to day life, and it's not specific to bloggers actually. To do so, think about the ONE thing you're always sporting - skinnies, boyfriends jeans or a piece of jewelry.

7. Outfits are a method. Clothing is a method for you to respond to social situations. Don't try to reinvent the wheel, and sport something completely inappropriate for specific occasion. Indeed, you won't wear that mini skirt to go to work, because it might not be appropriate right? So, the last thing I will express for today (I won't bother you anymore, and glad if you went that far) is that you can picture your outfit as your armor to confront some situations - work, weddings, GNO - whatever. I'm a partisan of that idea - outfits and clothes can make you so much more confident. Self-confidence might pass through your outfit and that's okay - "Self-confidence os the best outfit, rock it, and own it".

What do you think about this kind of article? Do you enjoy those and do I should write some more like these? Really want to know! x

10 THINGS TO HAVE A PERFECT WINTER

Winter is definitely not my friend. There, I come clean. Since, I'm on break, but not going anywhere warm in a close period of time, I'll just have to deal with the low temperatures. I'm a lover of the sunlight and since, it's playing peek-a-boo for almost two weeks, I guess I'll have to deal with it. It might be because I've been growing up in the Northern hemisphere, but I envy those LA people living in a place where it's sunny all year around. Here, it's either way raining, windy, or worst, snowing - friends, I love the snow, but I hate seeing my knuckles freezing. I quite understand why some people love the rain since they're not used to it, but they can definitely have some if that's their desire. It's in my personality to complain about something like the weather, and you can't blame me for that. So, for now, since I live here, I was wondering what to do about it? I decided to do a list for myself of things to do in winter.

1. Decorating your space. Being in the mood for winter is quite difficult when you're not feeling to, so I've came across the idea that burning scented candles might be one of the best thing in winter. I got mine from Zara Home or OtherStories

2. Drink a lot of tea. Staying hydrated is something I've learnt the hard way - but this story is for another day- so drinking tea, and especially mint green tea is one of my fav activity. It speaks for itself: there's nothing more comforting than a big mug of something hot that will warm up your hands.

3. Cuddle up and Netflix. Winter is definitely the season where you'll never feel guilty for staying home, watching your favorite series and movies while cuddling up in a big fluffy blanket. Blessing the day where a guy's invented Netflix. Currently obsessed with Chicago PD and SVU. Olivia Benson is one hell of a character.

4. Closet clean-out. Okay, so, I hate doing this at another moment. I came across this WWW method for cleaning out your closet, and either way, it's a good reason to justify buying some new stuff.

5. Practice my Yoga skills. Working out changed my life, but for some reason I was pretty perplexed about Yoga. Freezing temperatures is the good excuse to get back on the mat. I will master my downward dog posture.

6. Plotting my next adventure. Being released of my school duties in a few months, I'm dreaming about escaping somewhere warm, nice, sandy and unknown. Jessica's blog is the perfect destination to choose a getaway destination. Thinking about Croatia and sailing the Dalmatian coast, what are your thoughts about this place?

7. Grab a cup of coffee and read the news. I adore those moments where I can relax, grab the newspaper and read about what's going on in the world the old way. Seems like the world is going out of control, but hoping for better time..

8. Pajama day all day. Guilty pleasure of winter. Staying in my pajama all day, and being cosy is one thing I can totally master. Who cares if you're in your pajama all day? It's con productive, but no one will see you.

9. Catching up on some reading. I love reading some books I've put on "pause", because I didn't have some time to catch up on my reading. For the moment, I'm reading Anna Karenina, and also, I'm contemplating the moment where I'll finally open my mailbox to find 'YES' by Amy Poehler.

10. Go to the gym / Modelfit. It's not bikini season, yet. It's definitely the right time to break some sweat and respect some of those NY resolutions you've made two weeks ago. Enjoying those Model Fit videos on youtube - it's been so easy to be back on my fitness routine since I can do it from home. They say it's easy, and beneficial for your mind and body. I'm starting to believe in it.
